Frequently Asked Questions
Are the age requirments fixed?
Nope! The ages listed are suggestions rather than strict rules. Our main focus is matching students to the right level based on their English ability. We do our best to group students with peers of similar ages to help them feel comfortable and engaged in class. This means sometimes students might be a little younger or older than the typical age range for a level, and that’s perfectly fine!
How many students are in each class?
Young Learners: Maximum of 4 students per class.
Child and Pre-Junior: Maximum of 6 students per class.
Junior: Maximum of 8 students per class.
This small group size ensures personalized attention and an interactive learning experience.
How do I know what level to sign up for?
Every new student begins with a placement interview. During this short session, we assess your child’s speaking, listening, and vocabulary skills to recommend the best starting level based on their age and ability. No guessing needed — we’ll guide you! Where can my child find homework and grades?
For our Child, Pre-Junior, and Junior levels, we use Google Classroom to assign homework, quizzes, and share extra learning materials. It’s easy to access from any device and helps students continue practicing English outside of class.
For our Young Learner program, we use a different platform called ClassDojo, which allows us to reward positive behaviors and keep families informed about classroom activities.
What’s the difference between Pre-Junior and Junior?
Pre-Junior is designed for older beginners who are just starting their English journey and need to catch up to peers who have studied with us from a younger age. It bridges the gap by focusing on core skills at an accelerated pace.
Once students reach the Junior level, they can enroll simultaneously in Advanced classes — specialized, semester-long courses on topics like Art History or Environmental Science. These classes allow students to deepen their English skills while exploring areas of personal interest.
Do you offer any free resources?
Yes! We provide free worksheets, activity packs, and songs to help students practice at home. These resources are shared before your child’s placement interview and throughout the course to keep learning fun and engaging between classes.
